Computer and Internet
Unbelievable, computers have become a part of our everyday life. In the year of 2020 many people found out that they would learn more about computers and the internet, it helped it us get through the year. We could not have gatherings of any size, so to survive we looked to the the internet. Zoom became a part of our vocabulary.
Computers-What changed in 2020?
Computers didn’t change, people changed. People became more open to use computers. Computer provided the solution for many of the problems caused by the pandemic. We were getting lonely being locked in the house all of the time. Computers gave us the safe way to be able to SEE someone. Zoom became a common word to people that in the past would have nothing to do with computers.
Computer brings us Zoom
We were attending Church meetings and Church Service over zoom, we were attending business meetings using zoom. Computers allowed us to work from home instead of going into to work and worrying about spreading and getting covid. Families were visiting using zoom who lived close by and those miles away. How in the world would we have made it through 2020 without computers and Internet.
And sadly we are still depending on them. I am going to take that back, it is not sadly. I am so happy many of these new things have continued on. During that period of time I also ended up moving from long time neighborhood, which was also was the location of my church. I am so happy the church has continued to have online services every week and also our Weekly Bible Study has become an online Zoom. I would have to drive a few miles to get there and also at this time I don’t have care.
Yes, 2020 bringing more us of technology has been a Godsend to me
We are still trying to find a normal. When Covid is no longer a major threat, will Computers and Internet become a part of what is normal for our life. It appears so, I say that because people have had their eyes open to the possibilities that computers and Internet and bring to us in our daily lives. People that would not use a computer 5 years ago are using them today. In my a opinion, some good did happen in 2020.
