My Simple Prayer during Christmas and throughout our lives. The more I looked at this prayer I realized it is prayer I could/should say every day. I believe that each of our lives would be much better if we spent time each day with prayer. Many don’t believe God, but I won’t question anyones beliefs. I will just ask… how could that world have been ever been created without an all holy father? It didn’t just happen. No, I don’t believe with with each with every line in the bible literally. I do believe it is there to teach us something.
I have learned more and more over the last few years, it is very important to pay attention to God. My Life has drastically changed since I lost my husband. I have found out, by listening to my wonderful Pastor that I really am not alone. I have thought I have thought I was alone. Because of that I have been very lonely and very depressed.
Morning Prayer routine
If I get up in the morning and talk to God in the morning. I find I will have a better day and be happier. I will start off as my pastor has started us ‘I am here’, ‘God is here’. Repeat over and over again until we are ready. I am not alone if I talk to God regularly.
Who needs Prayer attention I know
Go through my list of friends that need because that are sick, injured, or have lost someone. It Seems to get longer as I get older.
What’s happening in the world
and then then for the people that have been wronged around the world due to different crisis (flood, weather, war). Pray for humans to help these wrongs like war and climate change, please help them. And please help us (those in the world help one other instead of hurting one another).
What about me
At this point I have a regular conversation like he is sitting next to me. Sometimes our conversation will go on for a few minutes sometimes a long time. I usually finish by saying the lords prayer. Now that I have looked at this prayer again, I want to try to remember it daily too. It is such a beautiful prayer.

Another Prayer to share
This prayer has because very one that has especially touched me because of the problems that I have over the past years. If you have had problems I hope it helps you as well. It seems to be a prayer that is very important as we get older.
Prayer of Hope
I came across this prayers a few years back. I think I was probably around 60 at the time – now I read it years later I can better understand the prayer.
As people of faith we have hope and offer it to others when we live unafraid. We remember words of Paul that make more sense as I get older : More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit which has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5 RSV
Thanks be to God who in our dark days lets creation remind us that we are not alone…through acts of courage, words of hope and trees that continue to bloom.
I have left the Christmas tree here, because I want to tell you about a friend of mine. She was a very special person. She had a Christmas tree all year round, except it wasn’t Christmas it was decorated of whatever holiday was happening. Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, always St. Patricks (because she was Irish). It was so much fun so much to see what she decorating and brought happiness to all of us. Whenever I see a christmas tree I think of her, heck I think of a holiday her name. There are Special people like her that have lived in this world. It is so sad they leave the world sooner than they should.
