Break the the Big Purse Habit! Purse, get rid of it! That sounds impossible doesn’t it. I know once I started carrying a purse it started to get bigger and bigger. My husband would jokingly say that I was taking the house with me.. It is I like I have to take the house with me.
Many reasons to Break the Big Purse Habit!
Health
There seems to be a theme in my pages. I do share my wisdom (i think it’s wisdom) based on the number of years I have lived. Learning the hard way that is not healthy to carry a heavy purse. Shoulders do start to ache from the constant weight on your shoulders. that doesn’t feel good. You have heard of fallen arches, well I found out there are also fallen shoulders and they don’t feel good. As hard a I tried to carry less, I found it was very hard to break the habit. Like any habit, it is hard to break. I’d get get smaller purses, but my big ones were still there. My goodness, it sounds just like someone trying to quit smoking or eating. I’ll just have a little purse (1 cigarette, 1 bite). Then pretty soon it’s a big purse (whole pack or whole cake).
Yes, I have also tried the purse that wraps around the body. It helps, it only hurts one shoulder that way. Another problem happens, what if you need to carry something else on the side where the purse ends up on there just isn’t enough for both. All the test haven’t worked for me, wearing the scar has been unbelievable. I’ll be truthful, I still might have a purse with me but truly it is a smaller one.
Cost
A Big Purse Habit isn’t exactly cheap, especially with the taste in clothes I have. Also, things have to be color coordinated therefore I do need more purses to match.
I know most people don’t have my weird bad habits , just pointing out some reasons to help others to work through the reasons to break the big purse habit.
Break the Big Purse Habit, my shoulders had it.
Shoulder surgery could be heading my way if I didn’t break the big Purse Habit.. It was like one more cigarette would kill me, one more month of Big Purse surgery was on the way. Found some very, very, light weight very small purses that could be used as back pack or over shoulder. What do I absolutely had to have with me that would fit in this purs? AND I was able to do it. I got the weight off my shoulder but also I could break a truly Dumb Habit carrying a Big Purse!
Break the Big Purse Habit – Part 2
Part 2 is almost Magical! I am so happy that I have made it through Break the Big Purse Habit. Now, I am ready for the most fantastic invention I have ever seen. A person doesn’t need a purse at all. And it is very fashionable.
What is it if it’s not a purse?
Thinking out of the box, It can be a:
- Infinity Scarf with a pocket
- Convertible Nursing Scarf with pocket
- Convertible Neck Gaiter with pocket
- Sarong with pocket
Sneaky, huh all have pockets and all big enough to hold the cell phone, passport or small wallet, and keys. Those ever all important things you don’t want to leave home without.
I think we would all agree that the best description for this idea is:
Function, Fashion, Freedom
The gal that came up with this ideas was brilliant.
Look back at my Big Purse Habit,
I was always looking for
- the function (to carry the appropriate items I needed when I left home)
- Fashion, here it is just look at that items available and in different styles and colors
- Freedom, I don’t have to worry about leaving my purse behind or someone snatching my purse (scares me, have heard that happens)
But there is more than that
